Fee Schedule for 2009 - 2010

REGISTRATION

Single Student -- $12.00 /yr
Family Rate (two students from same household) -- $20.00 /yr


MONTHLY PRIVATE  LESSON  FEE:

** Please Note:  Monthly Lesson Fees are set at a flat rate and are based on an average of four weekly lessons per month throughout the calendar year.   Because of this, monthly tuition is neither increased nor decreased for months which happen to have three or five weekly sessions per month.

For over 13 years GTR's mission has been to provide professional and quality music education at an affordable price.  While other places may charge more, we prefer to keep our overhead low and pass the savings on to you. 

Because we strive to keep lessons affordable we have found that this helps increase regular attendance for young and beginning to intermediate teen/adult students in our community.  Regular lesson attendance has proven to help the student learn better and advance more quickly.   We feel it's a win-win where our instructors can make a living doing what they love most and our students are able to enjoy the gift of music longer.


Monthly fees: (2010-2011): September to May
(4 private lessons/all instruments/1/2 hour per week)...............$   80.00
(4 private lessons/all instruments/45 minutes per week)............$ 105.00
(4 private lessons/all instruments/1 full hour per week).............$ 130.00 

 

SINGLE LESSON FEE

This is available only to intermediate/advanced Adult students that qualify.   Lessons are structured like a masters class and are intensive in nature.  This is the next best option for intermediate/advanced students that may not be able to fit regular weekly lessons into their schedule but can still benefit in advancing their skills with longer intesive lessons.  These lessons are scheduled at the availabilty of the instructor.

Single private 1 hour lesson/all instruments ............................. $ 45.00

** Please Note:  Single Lesson Fees are NOT to be used as a substitute for Private Monthly Lesson Fees.

STUDIO POLICY INFORMATION


1.  REGISTRATION
All students must send a completed registration/consent form to secure a lesson time slot with an instructor at GTR. Once the required registration/consent forms have been received the student will be sent confirmation and their first lesson will begin the following week.  The annual registration fee is $12 per single student ($20 for two students from the same family).

** There is a two month minimum for all lessons. **


2.  PAYMENT & FEES

NEW STUDENT  Payments must be received with registration prior to the first lesson to confirm lesson time.  No lesson times will be held or reserved without receipt of payment and registration.

Thereafter, tuition is due by the last lesson of the month to secure the students slot for the following month and may be paid by check, money order or exact cash.  Payment not received by the 5th of the month will be billed with a late fee of $10.

Non-payment will result in student being dropped from the schedule.


**Please Note: Tuition is based on an average of four lesson weeks each month through the calendar year and is not increased or decreased for long or short months.

All NSF checks will be charged a $25 fee to cover bank charges to our account.



3.  LESSON CANCELLATIONS

• Cancellations by the student can NOT be refunded or credited for any reason.
  
  
• Snow Days:  We DO NOT ALWAYS close the studio for snow days.  When public schools are closed either call our office (882-6733), or check the homepage on our website.    If we need to close the studio because of extreme snow conditions we will do our best to reschedule your lesson for another day/time.  If we are not able to do that we will credit your account the following month. 

4.  MISSED LESSONS, MAKE-UP LESSONS & LATE ARRIVALS

Because of the nature of scheduling private lessons we can only accommodate make-up lessons due to illness.  The student is given two (2) illness-related make-ups per year (September - May) which must be scheduled for a mutually agreeable time for the instructor and the student.

No refunds or credits are given for missed lessons.  Family vacations, School activities such as ski trips, sports games, band trips, Spring breaks that differ from the public/university system etc. do not qualify for make-up lessons.

If the student is late to a lesson regardless of the reason, the lesson will still end at the regular time. If the teacher does not have another student after your lessons time or does not have anything planned, then the teacher may elect to run over to give the student their full lesson.

If a student has missed their lesson on the last lesson of the month in which payment is due, they may be dropped from the schedule if they fail to contact the studio and confirm their wish to continue lessons.  If the student wishes to continue lessons, payment for the next month must be received at the studio by the end of the week in order to secure that lesson day and time for the following month.

5.  DISCONTINUING LESSONS

Discontinuing lessons must be done in writing prior to the last lesson in the month.  Failure to do so will result in the student being charged for the follwoing month.  Use the Contact Form or drop by the studio to fill out a Drop Card.  If the student wishes to resume lessons at a later date they will need to re-register but will not need to pay another registration fee for the session for that year.

6.  SUBSTITUTIONS

GTR reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to attend a lesson. If a substitute can not be provided the teacher must schedule a make-up lesson.

If a mutually agreeable make-up time can not be found, the student will receive a credit for the following month.


7.  CARE OF STUDENTS

GTR is not responsible for providing before or after lesson care for students. Parents with students under the age of 8 are asked to remain at the studio during the lesson. Students are not to be left at the studio for an excessive length of time before or after lessons.

 

8.  INJURIES & THEFT

Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adults waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on the studio property resulting from normal lesson activity or any activity conducted by the student before, during or after the lesson time. GTR is not responsible for lost or stolen articles left unattended by the student on the studio property.
